Root cause:
The storage configuration service encountered an issue that prevented automatic storage configuration and allocation from being performed correctly. This manifested in an inability to upload new files, due to insufficient storage, and resulted in users encountering an error when trying to upload.

Resolution:
Addressing the issue required several primary services to be halted while corrections were made to both the storage configuration service and the underlying storage service.

Future adjustments:
Engineering measures will be taken to reduce the chance of this happening again, through added safeguards and additional proactive monitoring. Updated procedures will be created to efficiently handle any future occurrence, should they arise.
